Presenter 1: Good morning, you’ve joined us on ‘Wake up Live’ this morning; that was Cee Lo Green with ‘Forget You,' a great start to the morning don’t you think?
Presenter 2: I certainly think so ….! A new favourite of mine.
Presenter 1: …We have the latest on those headlining news stories as well as an exclusive interview with the sister of Katie Price with the latest on her shocking break up with Alex Reid, and that's all coming up on todays show!
Presenter 2: Yes not forgetting the all important weather and travel update, helping your morning to run as smoothly as possible.
Presenter 1: Talking of celebs, have you heard about the latest X factor rumours?
Presenter 2: I did see something in the paper this morning regarding Cheryl Cole, I didn't get a chance to read it though...
Presenter 1: Well from what I read, its rumoured that she and possibly Simon as well are ditching the British X factor and will just be focusing on the American one...and its rumoured that Nicole Sherzinger and Adele are potential replacements? Not sure it would be the same without Simon's honesty though?
Presenter 1: Wow, I guess we'll have to wait and see! But as always we’d love to hear from you with your views and song requests, a lucky one of you will be chosen at random to choose the tune of the morning.
Jingle…
Presenter 1: So we’ll throw you straight into today’s news with …..
Sound affects with a serious tone to introduce the news and set the scene (it is a serious matter)
Presenter 2: Good morning. It was announced late last night that the body of seventeen year old Christina Nodes was found, police discovered her body outside St Sebastian’s church in Crawford. They are asking that anybody with any information, however relevant they believe it to be to come forward and help with the investigation. Her family released a statement early this morning that stated 'anyone that knew Christina would know what a loving girl she was and the incredible motivation she had for everything in life, we know that her death will have impacted an incredibly large amount of peoples lives and we can speak for them as well as ourselves in asking that everything possible is done to find her killer.'
The destructive Earthquake that took place in Christchurch, New Zealand on Monday 21st February has caused devastation to the country. With the death toll rising to 98. The Prime Minister, John Key has warned that this number could end up exceeding at least 200. The Canterbury Television building sadly came tumbling down during the quake, it is likely that there are still up to 120 bodies trapped inside. Hundreds of families remain in devastation.
Just down the road in Arborfield there has been a devastating fire at moores stables, the cause of the fire remains unknown. No deaths occurred however three people were seriously injured while trying to rescue the horses, the stables is estimated to have gone up in flames at approximately 4:13am on Wednesday morning. The Fire and police force have reason to suggest the cause of the fire could have been intentional however this is not yet confirmed. They have asked that anybody with any information to come forward.
The mayor of Crowthorne's 25 year anniversary of being mayor will take place on Tuesday 1st March; there will be celebrations in Crowthorne high street to celebrate! The high street will be closed to vehicles however diversions will be clearly marked. Residents of Crowthorne and local Volunteers will be holding stalls with games and tombola's to add to the celebrations! The mayor's speech will take place at 1pm.
Bracknells crime rates were reviewed by the police and council earlier this week; although the rates have improved dramatically since last year they are still a cause for concern. Compared with other local areas such as Wokingham, Bracknell has almost double the amount of car thefts, break ins and drink driving. The council and police will be working together to put together projects and plans to try and improve these problems.
Controversy has been caused in the Crowthorne and Sandhurst area over application for almost 6,000 new houses to be built. Residents argue that it is a small area, and the facilities needed for this amount of potential residents are just not available. Concerned parents question if schooling is going to be fairly considered, Crowthorne currently only has one secondary school as does Sandhurst, both of which are already over subscribed every year. Others argue that it is already 'impossible' to get appointments at the local doctors surgery and they demand that this is also taken into consideration. The council will be making their final decision next week on 3rd March.
That's it for now, you've had your news update read to you by....
Jingle...
Presenter 1: We now have *insert presenters name* coming at you live from the streets of Crowthorne getting your opinions on the new build!
Presenter 3: Hey guys I'm standing outside the place where developers have proposed to build the 6000 new houses, with a group of local residents. Sorry, could I have a minute (talking to member of public) to get your views on the new builds and how it will effect you as a resident and the town?
Member of Public: I for one am disgusted at their plans to build up our area with 6000 new homes after all the new flats they've recently built. Crowthorne has always been a small, quaint town where everyone knows each other and this development will bring thousands of new residents to Crowthorne and it will destroy what this town is all about.
Presenter 3: So you feel strongly opposed to the new plans?
Member of Public: Yes, very much so.
Presenter 3: Thank you for your thoughts, and how do you think this development will effect your town if it goes through? (To another member of public)
Member of public 2: It will just destroy us as a community! Their is simply not enough space for us all to move around! The traffic will become unbearable on our small roads, and yes it'd help local businesses which is always good, but the cons outweigh the pros on this one! They simply can't go through with it!
Presenter 3: Well that seems to be the general feel here in Crowthorne, thank you for your time! Back to you Live in the studio.Transition music...
Presenter 1: Here's your weather update with.... The rest of the morning is looking to stay cold and dry with clouds forming during the afternoon, top temperatures today of 13 degrees. Expect strong wind and rainfalls over night with the rain continuing throughout tomorrow morning. Do be prepared for wet weather and gale-like winds. Over the next few days we are expecting some heavy downpours, we will be keeping you up to date with official met office weather warnings.
Presenter 2: Now over to ... for the showbiz news...
Presenter 4: Good morning Live listeners! Late yesterday afternoon Victoria Beckham released her official statement announcing her and David's fourth child will be a much anticipated girl. I'll keep you updated on her pregnancy as it develops.
Another top story we're hearing about this morning is Lady GaGa's new raunchy music video for her new number 1 hit Born This Way from her upcoming album. The video lasts for over 7 minutes and consists of GaGa prancing around in her underwear. However her new toned physique has raised a few eyebrows as she must have been working harder than we all thought to achieve the perfect body!Colin Firth won four awards at last nights Oscars. When accepting one of his awards he joked about needing the loo, which is ironic as at the after party, the loo attendant ran out after him holding his Best Actor award for Kings Speech after he left it by the sink! Poor Colin must be overwhelmed with all his awards and I can easily understand how he's misplacing them!
I caught up with Katie Price's sister Sophie yesterday to talk about the recent rumours circling Katie and Alex Reids recent split. Here's what was said:
Presenter: Hi Sophie! So you're going to give us the inside scoop on the latest between your sister Katie and Alex Reid. Before rumours start spreading Sophie would like to make it clear that she is here on Katie’s consent. So Sophie, tell us, how did this all start?
Sophie: Well, Katie wants to make it clear that this did not start off as a messy break up, things just weren’t the same as they were at the start of the relationship. I think they both realised that this, was perhaps a marriage that was rushed into.
Presenter: So the couple are no longer living together?
Sophie: No, I believe that Alex is back living with his parents. They did attempt to make things work, I think Katie saw another side to Alex as things started to get tough.
Presenter: Can you expand on that for us Sophie?
Sophie: I can tell you that, as many of you may have noticed; Alex was loving the showbiz life, it was an opening for him and a way to further his career. Obviously Katie knew she was giving Alex opportunities when she first got together with him, but she didn’t expect him to be as self indulged in the media as he ended up being.
Presenter: Are you referring to the story that has been in the media recently to do with him and Juniors shoot?
Sophie: Yes, that’s a good example and is a true report. Katie had no idea of this shoot until it was released in ‘Hello’ last week, it was very much seen as a way for Alex to get the public and press on his side – he knows very well how Katie feels about the kids being exposed, she no longer wants it for them due to them growing up and it effecting their lives.
Presenter: Is that not a bit hypocritical of her though, they’ve all been exposed up until now?
Sophie: No, Katie and Peter made a decision with their management team that now is the time to pull the kids away – up until now it hasn’t affected them but with the split and now Katie and Alex’s split its not right for it to link to them.
Presenter: Okay Sophie, thank you for your time and all the best to Katie and Alex with their futures.
Presenter 1: And that was ... with the ShowBiz News! We're now gunna hit you with the live travel updates!
Presenter 2: There are slight delays on the M25 towards London, adding approximately 20 minutes to your journey, so watch out for that. We've also had a few callers ringing in and reporting an accident on the Sandhurst-Crowthorne bypass, we've been told there are emergency services on the scene. So we advice you not to take this route, as it is quite disruptive. That's all for now, but we'll keep you updated!
Presenter 1: You've been calling in with your song requests and we're going to answer your calls in just a second, stay with us on Wake Up Live!
Jingle...
Presenter 1: Okay so you've been ringing in with your song requests and now we've got a caller on the line. Hello Sammie from Aldershot, you're with us live!
Caller: Hi guys! How are you this morning?
Presenter 2: We're good thanks Sammie, and how are you? You sound bubbly this morning!
Caller: I am bubbly this morning! Just found out I only have to work half a day today! So I am loving it!
Presenter 1: Wish I was that lucky! We're gunna make your morning just that bit better! What can we play for you Sammie?
Caller: Oh I'd love to hear Price Tags by Jessie J, such a feel good song!
Presenter 1: Okay, we'll play that for you in a just a minute then Sammie, thanks for calling and have a good morning!
Presenter 2: Ah I still can't believe that Colin Firth left his Oscar on the loo!
Presenter 1: If I had found it I'd've put it straight up on eBay! Sure it must be a collectors item!
Presenter 2: I'm sure it is! Anyway this week we're giving a way an all inclusive trip for 2 to Rome where you'll stay in a luxury 4 Star hotel and we'll be giving you £1000 spending money! Definitely the trip of a lifetime! All you've got to do is answer 10 questions correctly! But if you fail to answer all 10 questions correctly you win our constellation prize which is 2 tickets to see The Beauty Manifesto curtesy of South Hill Park.
Presenter 1: Wonderful, wonderful prizes we're giving away this week. To get involved just ring our number and we'll choose a contestant just after 8 this morning! Now it's time to play the fantastic Jessie J- Price Tags, which is this weeks number 1 in the Top 40. You're listening to Wake up Live! We'll be back after this!

Audience Feedback
"I think you should use Transmission because it sounds technological and smooth. I also think you should use 'Radio' after Transmission making it 'Transmission Radio'"
"I think you should use Beam because the radio 'beams' information to listeners, it is also a catchy word as it is short and easy to remember"
"I think you should use beam because it is short and snappy and sticks in the listeners mind; it also sounds chirpy"
"I think you should use Live because it links to the fact that the radio is live and it seems appropriate for radio. I also think it should be 'Radio Live' rather than 'Live Radio' or 'Live Berkshire'"
We also carried out a vote amongst 20 randomly selected people and it was decided that we would use 'Radio Live' as our station name. We also liked this as the word live will be easy to link into our scripts as it is very associated with the radio.
Using our radio station name we've decided to name our morning show "Wake Up Live".

Radio Names
Live
This radio name suggests an upbeat, fast moving radio show as it's very to the point. This would be good as we decided on a morning show and the show itself needs to be upbeat to wake people up in the morning, this fits with our decided genre too.
Airwaves
The name airwaves links in with the radio theme, however it could easily be misinterpreted as an aeroplane company or as a popular chewing gum brand. As we want to have a unique show this wouldn't be ideal as the name has already been branded and is known among the public already.
Play
This name has connotations to it about music being played (people clicking the play button on their mp3 players etc) and also a fun place to be. This is more ideal as it is upbeat and fun, however you could also interpret it as a younger target audience and perhaps more of a childrens show.
Transmission
Transmission is a good name as it links in with the theme of radio. It is original and is quite edgy which would create a good feel for our radio station, however it is quite long which may not sound good on the radio when trying to be quick and upbeat.
Beam
Beam radio is short and snappy which fits in with the genre of the radio show and creates a fast pace to the show which is good for a morning show.
As all of the shows need to be local we can always add the area name to the end of the show e.g Heart Berkshire is a show off of Heart.
